Drummin Bog welcomes Minister Chris O’Sullivan and County Carlow Council Staff 29/11/2025 - Committee members were pleased to share the story of the Drummin Bog Project in Soiuth County Carlow with Minister Chris O'Sullivan, a keen birder. We acknowledge all of the support from the different departments of Carlow County Council and regional NPWS staff who also visited.

Voluntary Drummin Bog Committee member Brigid O'Regan, a former science lecturer, and a member of the Carlow Borris Lace group created the beautiful Drummin Bog Quilt Square for Mary Robinson's Quilt.

Drummin Bog Project Part of First Carlow Climate Action Week 27/10/2024 - The Drummin Bog Committee recently hosted a guided walk and talk at Drummin Bog as part of County Carlow's inaugural Carlow Climate Action Week 2024.
As the only remaining raised bog in Carlow and the Southeast of Ireland, restoring Drummin Bog is crucial to transforming this area into a carbon sink, while raising awareness of bog restoration’s importance in climate action.
